New use of geospatial technology helps farmers
manage their land. Ohio State's Nathan Watermeier
(Program Leader, Technology, Ohio State University
Extension) is helping farmers and all Ohioans

and others are working with systems which allow
farmers to manage their land and crops more accurately.
With this technology, farmers can efficiently
apply the right amount of fertilizer and other
applications the crops need. This saves money
and also helps the environment by limiting excess
chemical run-off in our streams and lakes.
